Cada año, en nuestro colegio, celebramos el día del libro.
Se elige a un escritor, este año ha sido Antonio Machado, y se hacen poesías para luego recitarlas todos juntos. También contamos cuentos los mayores a los pequeños y lo hacemos en español y en inglés. Todo esto lleva su tiempo: elegir grupos, los libros, traer material de apoyo como ositos de peluche y otros objetos para representar los cuentos y practicar mucho para que todo salga bien.
Una vez más llegó el gran día: leímos las poesías, representamos un cuento en inglés y otro en español. Los de 5º y 6º leyeron a 5 años, primero y segundo; los de 3º y 4º leyeron a 3 y 4 años de infantil.
Nos pusimos muy nerviosos pero lo hicimos muy bien y los niños disfrutaron, o eso creemos.

Today we have been Reading books to children from lower years.
First we practiced the reading in front of our teacher and partners for them to tell us how to improve the pronunciation and the actions we were going to do. Then we practiced some poems we had written and later we recited them in the acting room. We also listened to other children’s poems that had to do with Antonio Machado, the famous Spanish poet.
After playtime we finally read to the little children a book in Spanish and another one in English.
