Wednesday

      Today we went to Madrid. We were picked up at 8:00am by the coach, so we had to get up at 6:45am! The Spanish children were already on there. It took 3 hours to get there and 3 hours back. (I think!) We stopped for 15 minutes to ‘stretch our legs. When we got to Madrid we were told to put our rucksacks on the front of our bodies because there were some people who stole stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!! First we walked to the Botanical Gardens, and looked around. Next we walked to the Reina Sophia museum to find the painting Guernica, but it turned out that they were working on it so we couldn’t see it.  We then walked to a park where we got ice-creams. Next we walked to catch our bus tour around Madrid. It was wonderful.  After that we walked to the Palace. We waited ages for the King and Queen of Sapin to arrive but we just caught a glimpse of a black car with tinted windows. We knew it was them because there was a Spanish flag on the bonnet. After that we left and walked back to the coach and went back to the hostel.
